It's next to the highway, but the covered patio is on the side of the building that's away from the highway, so you actually feel like you're in a bit of a secluded oasis. While it is very large, has plenty of space, and sells pizza and soft drinks, it's a tall building with steep staircases. I wouldn't list Fast Friends was a kid-friendly option. It's at the Buda Mill & Grain, a mixed-use modern development that includes a winery, a few restaurants, and some boutique shops. You can expect the same menu, which includes both Tex (bbq) and Mex (tacos) favorites, loaded brisket tacos, brisket sandwiches, and some of the best flour tortillas in the greater Austin area. The Buda location of Valentina's is a HUGE indoor space, with air conditioning (bless!), a lot of picnic table seating, and a full bar. Well, as of June 2023, Valentina's has officially opened their doors at the new Buda indoor location! The original food truck on Menchaca will be closed.
